Dr Nada Younis was drawn to dentistry by a profession that runs deeply through her family. Surrounded by dentists growing up, including her mother, a prosthodontist, she fell in love with the way the profession blends medicine with art. She is passionate about connecting closely with her patients, talking through their treatment options, and empowering them to choose what is best for them.
Dr Younis completed her Bachelor of Dental Science in Baghdad in 1987 and went on to earn postgraduate qualifications in prosthodontics. She has enjoyed a long and rewarding career spanning Iraq, New Zealand and now Australia, and today calls Melbourne home. Her clinical interests span cosmetic dentistry, direct composite veneers, restorations, root canal treatment, crowns and bridges, and complete and partial removable dentures. She also has formal training and more than ten years of experience with CEREC restorations, including inlays, onlays and crowns.

A true global foodie, Dr Younis loves exploring cuisines from around the world and relishes the challenge of complex desserts and technical recipes, though her Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cooking is where her roots show. Away from the clinic and the kitchen, she enjoys watercolour landscape painting, photography, and music in any language, and is currently teaching herself Spanish. Most of all she treasures time with her family and their three cats, Winston, Toby and Diego, who are quite sure they own the house.
